Range (Spellcasting):
How far out a spell can be placed when you cast it.
Example: If I conjured a creature to aid me, and the Range of my spell was 8 spaces (40'), I could cause the creature to appear from 1 to 8 spaces from me. It would be my choice. If I had a friend that was 5 spaces from me, I would conjure the creature next to him, helping him out.
At times, the Range of a spell can be different than the explanation above. If so, it will be explained in the "Range" section of that spell.
Notes:
1. This applies to abilities, powers, spells and other types of casting.
2. If a "Range" is 0 (zero), this means the ability, power, or spell will originate from the caster.
